Re: Sixth Form Leaving Arrangements (Year 12)
Study leave will begin
Friday 12th May for Year 12 students
Although it is not compulsory for students to attend lessons during this period before the exams please note that teaching staff will be delivering revision classes in their normal timetabled lessons and on hand to support with private study, should students wish to come in and have further support. Students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of these lessons to consolidate work done at home and place them in the best possible position prior to the exams taking place.
After these dates, students will only be required to attend for their examinations and for any additional study sessions arranged by individual teachers. Please be advised that during this period of study leave there are also formal revision sessions planned and attendance at these is expected, if students are to realise their potential. Students will be provided with a timetable of these sessions in due course.
Return after study leave
The return date for our Yr12 students is Monday 12th June to begin their A2 study.
Work experience
As you are no doubt aware our Yr12 have been busy making contact with prospective employers for work experience. Students will be out for one week from Monday 3rd July. We hope that they will enjoy their work experience and take full advantage of the opportunities it presents.
End of year arrangements
The final day of the summer term for our Yr12 students will be Friday 14th July.
May I take this opportunity once again to wish our students much luck for their AS examinations.
Thank you finally to you as parents/carers who have supported the students through this very important year.
