I am writing to inform you of dates for the new term and important information for September.
Exam Results Days
A Level results day for our Year 12 and Year 13 students is on Thursday 15th August; students can collect their results from 9am. GCSE results day is on Thursday 22nd August, Year 11 may collect their results from 9am. Year 10 can collect their English results from 12pm midday.
Any student who is on holiday can authorise another family member to pick up their results providing that family member brings a signed letter from the student/parents and some form of photographic identification. Likewise, students can bring a stamped addressed envelope to Miss Franklin and results can be posted home.
We will be keeping our fingers crossed for some great results and wish to congratulate all of Year 10 -13 for their mature approach to a lengthy and exhausting exam season. They certainly deserve a good rest over the summer.
Students’ Return date
Students start the new term on Wednesday 4th September 2019 at 8:45am. All year groups are to attend at the start of the day; there are no staggered start times this year. New student timetables will be given out in September.
Last Week of Term
We are looking forward to next week. We start the week off with assemblies where we will celebrate achievements and welcome an inspirational speaker on Monday, Chris Lubbe, former bodyguard of Nelson Mandela. We then have Enrichment Activity days on Wednesday and Thursday where appropriate non uniform can be worn.
Students are expected to be back in school uniform on Friday, the last day of term. Please note, students will be dismissed from school at 1.10pm on Friday 19th July. School buses are arriving on site early.
The overall uniform remains the same next year. If your child chooses to wear a skirt, please ensure it is an appropriate length. Footwear should be plain black leather, we do allow Nike Air Force and Adidas Superstars. Please note, any shoes with bubbles are not school shoes. Next year students are not allowed to wear earrings at any time. Makeup is not to be worn by students in KS3 and must be discreet in KS4.
